There were three capture models that were made by Canopus and became popular and maybe still used today. Those models are the ADVC 55, ADVC 110 and the ADVC 300. There are more models but those three were popular amongst videographers transferring tapes. Obviously the ADVC 55 was the entry level model. Try as I might I can not find a download link anywhere no matter the #39;Google-Foo#39; for the Picture Controller software for the AVDC-300. I have even tried the vestigial Canopus/Green Valley website but that when it finally did register sent me round a ceaseless trial of 404 pages. Surely it#39;s not that difficult to come by, accepting it#39;s old. In addition to the Canopus ADVC-100 box you'll need a firewire card. If you're looking for capture/editing software, that's where you'll want to do some shopping around. The cards are pretty much all the same just don't get one with a Texas Insturments chipset but the software packages that come with them vary considerably.
